Sinochem International sends Cameroon to inspect rubber planting cooperation
On March 4, Shun Hengde, the Deputy General Manager of Sinochem International (Holdings) Co., Ltd., along with Li Xuetao, Assistant to the President, arrived in Cameroon for a one-week business trip. The visit marks an important step in strengthening Sinochem's presence and partnerships in the African market.
During their stay in Yaoundé, the delegation met with Jean-Cueet, the Deputy Prime Minister of Cameroon and Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development. The meeting focused on potential collaboration opportunities in agricultural development and sustainable resource management. In addition, the team had discussions with HEVECAM, one of Cameroon’s leading players in the rubber industry. The visit included an inspection of HEVECAM’s operations and a planned site visit to the company’s rubber plantation on March 7.
Beyond these key engagements, the team is scheduled to conduct a series of other business meetings with local partners, government officials, and industry stakeholders. These interactions aim to explore new investment opportunities, enhance trade relations, and identify areas for joint ventures between Sinochem and Cameroonian enterprises.
The visit underscores Sinochem’s commitment to expanding its footprint in Africa and fostering long-term economic cooperation. The team is expected to return to China at the end of the week with valuable insights and potential agreements to advance future collaborations.
