Recently, Henan Diesel Engine Group Co., Ltd. successfully completed the NOx (nitrogen oxide) emission testing for the TBD234 series of three diesel engine models. The results met the strict requirements set by the International Maritime Organization (IMO) under the Anti-pollution Convention and the Nitrogen Oxide Emission Standards. This achievement marks a significant step forward in the company's efforts to expand its presence in the global market.
To date, five different models from the TCC234 series have passed the NOx emission tests, which is a crucial milestone for their international certification and market entry. These engines are now better positioned to meet global environmental regulations, making them more attractive to international buyers and shipbuilders.
The tested engines include a V8 model with a rated power of 303 kW at 1800 rpm, a V12 model rated at 373 kW at 1500 rpm, and another V12 model with 350 kW at 1500 rpm. The testing was carried out by Shanghai Hujiang Testing Company, and the process was supervised and approved by the Surveyor from the American Bureau of Shipping (ABS), ensuring the credibility and compliance of the results.
