The cyclohexanone oxime device of this project will adopt the ammonia oximation process technology, the caprolactam device adopts the cyclohexanone oxime multi-stage rearrangement and the magnetic stabilization bed hydrofining technology, and the ammonium sulfate device adopts the neutralization crystallization technology. These technologies are Sinopec has developed independently.

Caprolactam is an important basic organic chemical raw material, and its production capacity grows rapidly at an annual average growth rate of 11% in China. In 2010, China's consumption of caprolactam was 1.13 million tons, while domestic production capacity was only 490,000 tons, and it was heavily dependent on imports. Based on this, Sinopec proposed Baling Petrochemical as the main body, using its own technologies, and exerting the comprehensive advantages of technology, human resources, and management to implement a series of strategies for the expansion and development of other places, and strive to build a caprolactam plant with a capacity of one million tons to create a world-class Caprolactam enterprises. According to the plan, by the end of the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan”, the caprolactam production capacity of Baling Petrochemical will reach more than 1 million tons/year, and will reach 2 million tons/year by 2020.
