Autodesk Names Carmel Galvin Chief Human Resources Officer
SAN FRANCISCO, February 1, 2018 /PRNewswire/ – Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSK), a global leader in design and engineering software solutions, has announced that Carmel Galvin will join the company as Chief Human Resources Officer, starting on March 5, 2018. In her new role, Galvin will oversee all aspects of human resources operations, including strategic planning, learning and organizational development, talent acquisition, and employee relations. Additionally, she will take charge of managing Autodesk's corporate real estate, travel policies, safety, and security initiatives.

With over two decades of experience in human resources at prominent global firms such as Deloitte, Advent Software, and MSCI Barra Inc., Galvin most recently held the position of Chief Human Resources Officer at Glassdoor. Her extensive background in HR management and leadership positions her as an ideal candidate to guide Autodesk through its continued growth and innovation.
"Carmel Galvin aligns perfectly with the values we uphold at Autodesk," said Andrew Anagnost, President and CEO of Autodesk. "Her courage, commitment to accountability, and deep understanding of our customers make her a perfect fit for our leadership team."
"I'm thrilled to join a company that empowers creativity and innovation across industries," remarked Galvin. "Autodesk has long been recognized as a forward-thinking organization, and I am eager to contribute my insights from the financial services and technology sectors to further enhance our reputation as a world-class workplace."
Originally from Ireland, Galvin earned her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Business from Trinity College Dublin and later obtained a Master’s degree in Business Studies from University College Dublin’s Smurfit School of Business.
