2-Alarm house fire in Harvey, 1-22-15
Yesterday afternoon (January 22, 2015), Harvey firefighters responded to a second-alarm fire at a residence located at 192 East 157th Street. The images you see here were captured by photographers Josh Boyajian and Tim Olk.
Josh Boyajian shared his experience with me:
"Yesterday, we received a call about a fire in Harvey at 192 East 157th Street. Since we were coming from Merrionette Park, it took us a little longer to get there. When we arrived, Harvey firefighters were already on the scene tackling the fire on the first floor, but there was still heavy smoke and flames shooting out from the second story. It was challenging for the crews to extinguish the fire due to the unique construction of the house, but they managed to prevent it from spreading to the neighboring house to the east. I managed to capture some photos from the scene."
