Autodesk transforme le modèle de gestion de l’éducation afin d’améliorer les aptitudes de pointe aux États-Unis et au Canada

**SAN FRANCISCO—(BUSINESS WIRE)—** Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSK), a leader in 3D design, engineering, and entertainment software, announced today that it will provide free access to its professional 3D design software and creation tools for American and Canadian schools. This marks another step forward in Autodesk’s ongoing transformation of its education management model, with the goal of fulfilling its mission to help students and educators imagine, design, and create a better world.
With an investment valued at over $460 million, Autodesk has empowered teachers in more than 35,000 middle schools, high schools, and higher education institutions across the U.S. and Canada.
“Advancements in accessible 3D design technology and manufacturing are disrupting industries like design, engineering, and entertainment as we know them,†said Tom Joseph, Senior Director of Education at Autodesk. “Mobile and cloud technology means you can design anywhere, anytime. Nearly anyone with an idea can turn a concept into reality overnight, and we believe today’s students are shaping the industries of tomorrow.â€
“This is our second major commitment in North America within the last six months, and it’s just the beginning. There’s still much work to be done as we collaborate with governments, institutions, and partners to train a workforce aligned with industry needs around the world by removing barriers to accessing software,†added Joseph.
Autodesk's 3D design software, creation apps, and learning resources are utilized through a continuum of education to improve learning outcomes, including:
- Developing skills among young learners in middle schools to address real-world challenges through subjects related to STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).
- Providing relevant industry knowledge and 3D design skills to give students a competitive edge in achieving their personal goals today and securing future career success.
- Helping educators inspire creativity and innovation through project-based learning programs and interdisciplinary approaches, fostering collaboration and problem-solving skills that reflect today’s market realities.
“At RIT, we prepare our students for successful careers in industrial design, teaching them how to leverage advanced technologies to tackle global design challenges,†said Alex Lobos, Assistant Professor of Industrial Design at the Rochester Institute of Technology. “Having free access to cutting-edge professional design tools like Autodesk Fusion 360 has enabled our students to adapt to changes in an ever-evolving industry. The cloud component of the product also teaches them how to collaborate with peers across different disciplines, which are essential skills they’ll need upon graduation.â€
In February, Autodesk committed to supporting President Obama’s ConnectED initiative in the U.S. by expanding its Design the Future program to enhance STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education and meet growing career demands. Since 2006, students and educators have had free access to individual Autodesk software licenses via the Autodesk Education Community.
“We’ve seen students become more engaged in fundamental subjects like math and science when they’re able to experiment, model, and animate in 3D using tools like Autodesk 123D Design and Maya,†said Kent Ganevsky, a teacher at Theodore Roosevelt Middle School who adopted the ‘Design the Future’ program. “The new Common Core standards and Next Generation Science Standards aim to prepare students for both higher education and careers. By teaching skills such as 3D modeling and animation with professional Autodesk products, we’re giving both students and teachers a real advantage.â€
