I recently had the chance to update the photo galleries for the Algonquin-Lake In The Hills Fire District. I added some new images that showcase equipment from both Station 2 and Station 3. One of the photos features a pickup truck that’s been labeled as a brush truck. It's worth noting that while this vehicle does serve in a similar capacity, the department has plans to install a skid-mounted unit onto the truck bed, enhancing its firefighting capabilities. Unfortunately, the installation wasn’t completed at the time the photo was taken.
In addition to the pickup, there are now several other high-quality photos available on the district's pages. One image captures an impressive KME Predator fire engine, another highlights a Ferrara Inferno tower ladder, and yet another shows a different apparatus that I haven't fully identified yet. Each of these vehicles plays a crucial role in the department's operations, ensuring they can respond effectively to emergencies across their jurisdiction.
While I was updating the galleries, I took a moment to reflect on how much the community relies on these dedicated firefighters. It’s inspiring to see the level of preparation and professionalism that goes into maintaining such a diverse fleet. I hope these photos give people a better sense of the resources available to protect our neighborhoods.
