· Toyota's three cars promote sales in China for six consecutive increases

In January 2015, sales of Toyota Motor in China reached 94,700 units, a year-on-year increase of 10.6%. Small cars and compact cars have become the mainstay of Toyota's continued sales in the Chinese market. However, the company will release a small number of new cars this year, and the growth may not be as good as 2014.
Ralink and compatriot New Corolla become the pillar of Toyota's growth in China for 7 months. On February 2, 2015, Toyota released the latest data, saying that its retail sales in the Chinese market in January was 94,700 units, and in January 2014. Toyota sold 85,600 vehicles in China, up 10.6% year-on-year. This is the sixth consecutive month that Toyota’s sales in China have exceeded the same period last year since August 2014.
However, compared with the 15.3% year-on-year increase in December 2014 and the 2014 annual average of 12.5%, Toyota's sales growth in China slowed down last month.
From the performance of the model, the FAW Toyota compact car Corolla performed outstandingly last month, exceeding 20,000. Due to the low base of comparison, the figure is even nearly three times that of January 2014. The Guangzhou Automobile Toyota compact car, Lei Ling and the small car Vios, also achieved sales of over 10,000.
In 2014, Toyota's growth in the Chinese market relied heavily on new cars. According to the sales data of Toyota's domestically produced vehicles in China, the growth rate of the latter is significantly higher than that of FAW Toyota and GAC Toyota. However, the sales of the old models have declined year-on-year, relying on the two models of Zhixuan and Leiling. The new car that was launched in the year pulled up sales. FAW Toyota achieved growth with the RAV4 SUV thermal power, the low contrast base of the Vios car, and the new Corolla's promotion of the Corolla family's sales.
According to Toyota executives, in 2015, Toyota will no longer have a new intensive offensive in 2014 in the Chinese market, with a large number of new models and fewer new cars, so the sales growth rate is about the same as the overall car market. IHS expects China's auto market sales to increase by 7.1% year-on-year in 2015, reaching 24.9 million units.
One of the executives revealed that Toyota’s only mainstream Toyota brand model to be introduced to China in 2015 was Crown, but “not the creator of mass sales”. The Japanese media said that Toyota will also upgrade the Camry midsize car in China this year.
In 2015, Toyota is preparing to complete the old target of selling 1.1 million vehicles in China, which will increase by 6.8% compared with 2014. Although it still maintains its growth momentum, its growth rate is only about half of that in 2014.
