From January to September 2012, the most significant increase in the sales volume of Russian commercial vehicle market was for buses, which was an increase of 14% year-on-year to 3,616 vehicles. Among them, sales of leading models are LIAZ (1449 vehicles, an increase of 50%), BAZ (1313 vehicles, an increase of 9%) and KAVZ (372 vehicles, an increase of 11%).
The European Commercial Association Commercial Vehicle Manufacturers Committee pointed out that the sales volume of Russian commercial vehicles showed a steady increase. At the same time, the implementation of the recycling and assembly plan for old cars led to a slowdown in car sales growth at the end of the third quarter, especially for the heavy truck market. However, the European Business Association firmly believes that car sales will still be optimistic by the end of 2012.
