What is a blasting funnel? What are the components of the blasting funnel?
The drug pack is embedded in the rock mass, and the crater formed after the blasting is shaped like a funnel, which is usually called a blasting funnel.
The components of the blasting funnel are shown in Figure 1.

First, the free face. Refers to the rock surface in contact with the air, which plays an important role in the blasting process. With the free surface, the rock can be broken, broken and transferred in the free direction during blasting.
Second, the minimum resistance line (W). The shortest distance from the center of the drug pack to the free surface is called the minimum resistance line, which is the dominant direction of blasting and rock movement.
Third, the bottom radius of the blasting funnel. When the package close to the free surface is blasted, a circular notch is formed at the free surface, called the bottom circle of the blasting funnel, and its radius is indicated by r in the figure. It reflects the width of the funnel opening.
Fourth, the blasting radius (R). Refers to the distance from the center of the packet to any point on the circumference of the bottom of the blasting funnel.
