Abrasive blasting is a powerful and widely used technique for preparing metal surfaces before painting, powder coating, or other finishing processes. It involves propelling different types of media—such as sand, silicon carbide, aluminum oxide, or steel shot—at high pressure onto the surface to remove contaminants like grease, oil, dirt, rust, and old coatings. This method is not only effective but also safe and fast, making it a popular choice in many industries. One of the key benefits of abrasive blasting is that most of the media can be recycled and reused, which helps reduce material costs and minimizes waste. By reusing your blast media, you can save both time and money while contributing to environmental sustainability by reducing resource consumption. Properly cleaning and recovering abrasive media using a blast recovery system is essential for maximizing its lifespan. These systems help you clean and collect spent media efficiently, allowing it to be reused multiple times. For example, steel grit can often be used hundreds of times, leading to significant cost savings over time. Blast recovery systems are designed to gather, process, and prepare various types of abrasive media for reuse. They streamline the process, improve efficiency, and reduce labor demands, making them an invaluable tool for any blasting operation. Implementing a blast recovery system offers several advantages that can enhance your business operations: There are several types of recovery systems available depending on your specific needs and application. Two common types of vacuum-based recovery systems exist. One allows you to blast and then use a vacuum attachment to collect the spent media, offering quick recovery. However, this system requires more compressed air and is best suited for less abrasive materials. It’s ideal for portable applications where speed is a priority. The second type uses continuous vacuum recovery, which simultaneously blasts and collects media. While slower than the first option, it reduces dust and prevents media spillage, making it perfect for smaller or indoor projects where dust control is critical. Similarly, there are mechanical and pneumatic systems. The pneumatic system uses airflow to transport the media to a reclaimer, filters out impurities, and returns the usable media to the blast pot. This is ideal for materials like glass beads, plastics, and fine steel grit. On the other hand, mechanical systems are typically used with heavier media like steel grit, as they can handle the weight and deliver it effectively to the blast pot. These systems are best for highly abrasive media that require durable handling. For over 50 years, Finishing Systems has been a trusted provider of high-quality metal finishing solutions. This classification includes pyrometers designed for blast furnace equipped with explosion proof instrument.
Conditions in furnace are always tough alone with high temperature and high pressure. Limited to the requirements of operation environment and instrument`s structure, thermocouple thermometry would result in inaccurate measurement and lag reaction when works in harsh condition such as frequently temperature changes, large pressure fluctuations and event in vibration.
Since a thermocouple works at the high temperature ( usually 1200 ℃ ~ 1300 ℃) in furnace for long term, the thermocouple junction box also works at high temperature between 100 ℃ to 120 ℃, which will dramatically reduce instrument`s service life to a range from few weeks to few months. It will increases use-cost and maintenance workload.
In order to overcome above shortcomings, our company has designed and produced a serials of specialized infrared temperature measure device to ensure our infrared temperature measuring system works reliably in complex environment.
