Apartment building fire in Chicago 8-6-13
Around 12:45 PM on Tuesday, emergency crews responded to a fire at the 3400 block of West Madison Street in a large U-shaped courtyard apartment building. The fire was located in a second-floor unit and was quickly contained by firefighters who arrived on scene swiftly. One resident was taken by Ambulance 10 to the hospital in stable condition.
Engine 44 and Ladder Truck 26 were assigned to sector 3, while Engine 95 and Ladder Truck 36 worked in sector 1. Firefighters were seen working efficiently to control the blaze and prevent it from spreading further. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but no major injuries were reported.
