The company uses a two-pack cigarette-box-sized hub in each store and a telephony server appliance for VoIP customers. The network hub uses built-in ZigBee, Z-Wave and Bluetooth repeaters to collect sensor data to receive sensor information and forward it to cloud-based servers. The cloud server then manages and analyzes the data. Unified Office uses network hubs and sensors provided by third-party vendors. In the past year, Mar Pizza has experimented with this technology in about a dozen restaurants, installing sensors in the freezer and in the work area for temperature detection.
