Goodyear Announces Appointment of Managing Director of New China Region

In response to the need for the next phase of development for Goodyear's China operations, Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., Ltd. announced the changes in the personnel of the Chinese regional leadership team.

Since March 1, 2011, Mr. Huang Xin, Vice President of Goodyear China Passenger Cars Division, will replace Michael Martens as Managing Director of Goodyear China. Mr. Martin will serve as managing director of Goodyear Dunlop tires in Australia and New Zealand, and will serve as vice president of non-road tires business in the Asia Pacific region.

Mr. Huang Hao’s workplace will remain in Shanghai and will be reported directly to Mr. Pierre Cohade, President of Goodyear Asia Pacific.

Mr. Huang Yu formally joined Goodyear in 2007. In the past four years, he has helped Goodyear China build a strong sales and distribution network, successfully leading the Goodyear commercial and passenger tire business has achieved unprecedented excellence. Prior to joining Goodyear, Mr. Huang worked successively on Michelin tires and Renault Trucks and has accumulated extensive experience in the automotive industry.

At the same time, Goodyear also announced that former vice president of marketing for Goodyear's North Asia Region, and Goodyear Korea and Taiwan managing director Mr. Iain McDaniels, will replace Mr. Huang Wei as Goodyear China from April 1, 2011.
