FDNY Rescue 4 in Des Plaines – update
Karl Klotz recently visited Denny G’s Automotive Repair in Des Plaines to capture images of the X-FDNY Rescue 4, which is currently undergoing final preparations. The team is working around the clock to ensure the rig is ready for its public display next week on 9/11/11. This is a significant moment, as the vehicle serves as a powerful tribute to the firefighters who lost their lives on that tragic day.
You can find previous updates about this restoration effort here, here, and here, where photos from just a week ago showed the rig in an earlier stage of the process.
Below are some of the latest shots taken by Karl Klotz:
More photos of the ongoing work can be seen [here](#). This is a heartfelt and important project, and it's inspiring to see the dedication behind bringing this piece of history back to life.
