Chinese dried according to the latest Reuters report published by the European Plastics Recycling and Recovery Organization (EPRO) and other European countries in 2011, plastic packaging waste recovery rate of 33.6%, 22.5% more than the EU minimum requirements. This shows that European recycling programs based on extended producer responsibility work well. The report shows that EU member states, as well as Norway and Sweden, recovered 66.8% of plastic packaging waste last year. Of these, 33.6% were recycled and 33.2% entered the energy recovery process. The Netherlands ranked first with a recycling rate of 48.4%, followed by Sweden, the Czech Republic, Estonia and Germany.
