Control valve security system
In today’s industrial landscape, ball valves and globe valves have evolved far beyond basic on/off functions. With increasingly complex control processes and higher load demands, specialized valve solutions are now essential. MHA Zentgraf has responded to these evolving challenges by introducing a range of advanced valve systems designed for a wide range of control applications.
MHA Zentgraf is committed to environmental responsibility, using hexavalent chromium-free surface coating technology in its products to comply with EU regulations such as RoHS 2002/95/EC, 2000/53/EC, and WEEE. Their proprietary R&D technology, MHA-Protect-Cr6-frei, meets all current EU environmental standards in the automotive sector and aligns with RoHS requirements. The surface treated with this technology not only offers an excellent appearance but also provides superior corrosion resistance compared to traditional yellow zinc coatings containing hexavalent chromium (see Figure 1). While yellow galvanized surfaces begin to lose their protective qualities at temperatures above 80–90°C, the Cr6-free coating actually improves its anti-corrosion performance when temperatures exceed 100°C. This makes MHA-Protect-Cr6-frei both eco-friendly and highly promising in the market.

Figure 2 shows the fire-safe ball valve developed by MHA, which can withstand up to 42 MPa of working pressure. These valves are essential for safety during emergencies on oil tankers and offshore drilling platforms.
MHA’s integration of globe valves and ball changeover valves allows for more cost-effective installation of manifold blocks compared to traditional piping systems. This reduces both the number of potential leaks and the space required for filters. To meet the safety needs of offshore operations, MHA has also developed a fire-safe ball valve series with a maximum working pressure of 42 MPa (see Figure 2), ensuring critical safety and security in case of fires on tankers and drilling rigs.
For other flammable gases and liquids, MHA introduced a patented high-pressure ball valve line that meets "fire-safe" standards. These valves ensure no leakage even under alternating pressure and high-temperature conditions.
In the chemical industry, where sampling and analysis require strict safety and environmental protections, MHA specializes in Double Block and Bleed ball valves that meet the TA-Luft air quality control specifications.
