China's top 30 automotive automakers ranking ahead

Recently, the China Machinery Industry Federation and the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers released the list of "China's Top 30 Auto Industry 2010". Among which, SAIC, FAW, and Dongfeng Motor ranked top three in terms of their main business revenues of 6096.5293 billion yuan, 488.86001 billion yuan, and 365.7507 billion yuan; Beiqi, Guangzhou Automobile, and Changan Automobile ranked 4 to 6; their main business revenues were all 100 billion yuan or more. In addition, the main business income of Brilliance Automotive was 6.793178 trillion yuan, ranking eighth, and Chery Automobile's main business revenue was 35.379922 billion yuan, ranking 10th.

One of the highlights of this Top 30 ranking is that the ranks of privately owned auto companies that had previously been ranked lower have started to move forward. For example, Great Wall Motor's sales revenue in 2010 was 28.9 billion yuan, and 390,000 cars were produced and sold, ranking 13 places, which was two places higher than in 2009. BYD Auto ranked the 14th in terms of its main business income with 21.443 trillion yuan, and Geely ranked 15th with its main business income of 21.173 trillion yuan.

The survey shows that auto parts companies have a higher profit margin. In the purely auto parts-oriented company, Wanxiang Group's revenue reached 66.138 billion yuan, ranking 9th, making it the most profitable auto parts company.
