It is reported that the low-voltage SCR system equipped with the 6S35MEB mainframe has the characteristics of small size, flexible layout, low energy consumption, high degree of self-adaptation, small impact on engine vibration and transient airflow fluctuations, reliable operation and noise elimination function. Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) technology uses NH3 (urea solution) as a reducing agent. Under the action of the catalyst, NOx is preferentially reduced to N2 and H2O, which has less impact on the safety of the engine and can effectively reduce 80%-90%. The NOx emissions have been widely recognized in the industry. The measured NOx emission value of this test is 2.51g/kW.h, which is much smaller than the 3.4g/kW.h required by TierIII, which fully meets the NOx emission standards.
The first domestic low-speed diesel engine for TierIII 6S35MEB+ low-pressure SCR
On August 22, 2017, China Shipbuilding Heavy Industry Group Diesel Engine Co., Ltd. (China Ship Chai) successfully passed the first domestic low-speed diesel engine that meets TierIII 6S35MEB+ low-pressure SCR in Qingchai. This is also the world's first set of host + low-voltage SCR systems that meet Tier III emissions. The host and the SCR system have been successfully tested, and have accumulated experience in the production of Tier III emission standards for China's shipboard production, enhancing the manufacturing capacity of green and intelligent low-speed marine diesel engines and enhancing market competitiveness. The system will be installed on a 7,500-ton asphalt ship built by China Shipbuilding Chengxi Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. for COSCO Shipping Special Transportation Co., Ltd.
