The project of “Development and Application of ICP Trace Analysis Instrument†was formally initiated in 2011. It is led by Steel Research and Testing Technology Co., Ltd. and includes 9 undertaking units and 12 tasks.
The project developed two ICP spectrometers and ICP mass spectrometers with independent intellectual property rights; they solved the development of key components and technical problems; established ICP-MS analysis methods and databases for food testing in different fields; The ICP spectrometer and ICP mass spectrometer industrial bases were established, a complete quality management system was established, and four production lines were constructed.

At present, the Plasma 2000 ICP full spectrum spectrometer and the Plasma MS 300 ICP mass spectrometer formed by the project have achieved good market sales and become the new economic growth point for the steel research and nanotech instrument industry.
