Dynamic Simulation of Determining Index of Spring Maize by Leaf Area Meter

For the field observation data of spring maize varieties, the leaf area meter was used to determine and analyze the change rule of the spring maize leaf area index, determine the time and weather characteristics of the maximum leaf area index of spring maize, and put forward the index to determine the maximum index of spring corn leaf area. In order to provide accurate parameters for the growth and yield of spring maize, the different area sizes measured by the leaf area meter can further reflect the growth period.

Because field experiments are difficult to observe continuously, it is difficult to observe exactly when the leaf area index reaches its maximum. To do this, it is necessary to find the index that determines the maximum leaf area index. By using the leaf area analyzer to analyze the cumulative characteristics of main meteorological elements in spring corn sowing and emergence to the maximum leaf area index, it was found that when the spring corn sown till the leaf area index reached the maximum ≥10°C effective accumulated temperature and the maximum seedling to leaf area index The effective accumulated temperature of ≥10°C is basically constant.

If the corn varieties, sowing date and cultivation measures are different, the leaf area index of different years differs greatly. To better understand the change rule of leaf area index, the relative leaf area index determined by leaf area meter is used to describe the dynamics of leaf area index. The changes in the leaf area index of spring maize show four stages: slow growth period, rapid growth period, stable growth period and slow decline period, which are basically consistent with the existing research results.

Using the leaf area meter to determine the indexes of the maximum leaf area index and the relative leaf area index of spring maize, a dynamic universal model of leaf area index of spring corn can be obtained. The largest leaf area index is the sign that corn enters reproductive growth, and it is also a turning point for the distribution pattern of corn photosynthetic products, which has important physiological significance.
