· BMW will push the mixed version involving Rolls Royce and MINI

The BMW Group is preparing to build a plug-in hybrid version of all its main models, including its highest-selling 3 Series, to reduce overall product emissions and fuel consumption, and to cope with tightening environmental regulations.
On December 1st, the BMW Group demonstrated a 3 Series plug-in hybrid in Miramas, France. The transfer combines a four-cylinder petrol engine with an electric motor for a pure electric range of up to 35 kilometers. BMW said in a statement that it will introduce a plug-in hybrid version for the X5 SUV and other "core models" in the future.
BMW spokesman Manfred Poschenrieder even claimed that the electric version of the MINI and Rolls-Royce brands is also "possible."
In fact, BMW has created the i electric car brand, and currently launched the i3 pure electric city car and the i8 plug-in hybrid supercar. However, with the EU tightening emission regulations, carbon dioxide emissions of 95 g / km in 2021, BMW, Audi and Mercedes-Benz and other manufacturers of large-displacement luxury cars are under pressure to build electric cars and plug-in Hybrid cars, even outside the i sub-brand, BMW also focused on promoting alternative powertrains.
BMW did not give a time frame for the release of the plug-in hybrid version.
