Chlorinated polyethylene (CPE, OR CM) is a saturated polymer material. It is white powder in appearance, non-toxic and tasteless. It has excellent weather resistance, ozone resistance, chemical resistance and aging resistance, as well as good oil resistance, flame retardancy and coloring performance. Good toughness (still flexible at - 30 ℃), good compatibility with other polymer materials, high decomposition temperature, decomposition to produce HCl, which can catalyze the dechlorination of CPE.

Chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) is a polymer material prepared from high density polyethylene (HDPE) by chlorination substitution reaction. According to different structures and uses, chlorinated polyethylene can be divided into resin chlorinated polyethylene (CPE) and elastic chlorinated polyethylene (CM). In addition to being used alone, thermoplastic resin can also be blended with polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polystyrene (PS), ABS and even polyurethane (PU). In the rubber industry, CPE can be used as a special rubber with high performance and high quality, and can also be blended with ethylene propylene rubber (EPR), butyl rubber (IIR), nitrile rubber (NBR), chlorosulfonated polyethylene (CSM) and other rubber.


The growing domestic demand for high-performance flame retardant rubber, especially the development of wire and cable industry and auto parts manufacturing industry, has driven the consumer demand for rubber CPE. Rubber CPE is a special synthetic rubber with excellent comprehensive properties, heat resistance and flame retardancy.

Chlorinated polyethylene resin is a new synthetic material with a series of excellent properties. It is not only an excellent impact modifier for PVC plastics, but also a synthetic rubber with good comprehensive performance. It has a very wide range of application fields. It has been widely used in cable, wire, hose, tape, rubber and plastic products, sealing materials, flame retardant conveyor belt, waterproof coiled material, film and various profiles. CPE can also be blended with polypropylene, high and low pressure polyethylene and ABS to improve the flame retardancy, aging resistance and printing performance of these plastics. CPE can be regarded as a random copolymer of ethylene, polyethylene and 1,2-dichloroethylene. Its molecular chain is saturated and polar chlorine atoms are randomly distributed. Because of its excellent physical and chemical properties, CPE is widely used in machinery, electric power, chemical industry, building materials and mining industry. CPE has better heat resistance, ozone resistance, weather resistance and aging resistance than most rubber, better oil resistance than nitrile rubber (NBR) and chloroprene rubber (CR), and better aging resistance than chlorosulfonated polyethylene (CSM); Acid, alkali, salt and other corrosive properties, non-toxic, flame retardant and no explosion hazard.

Mainly used in: wire and cable (coal mine cable, wire specified in UL and VDE standards), hydraulic hose, vehicle hose, tape, rubber plate, PVC profile, pipe modification, magnetic material, ABS modification, etc.
